  The place to be in Pasadena with our social group. Food & Servers are gr8. Especially the cute one with her terrific memory. No need 4 a menu to get what u want.

  My mother and I where just at Cocos around 10:30am on Friday. My mother asked the waitress to seat us in the back room where several other patrons where sitting at 3 different tables. The waitress smiled politely and said "of course you can sit wherever you would like, we have a waiter there that can serve you." Suddenly, the woman behind counter, stopped helping the customer she was with, and stepped out from behind the counter and said " no she can just sit over there how many people are with you? " "Two," said my Mother. Shocked my mother then said ," we are leaving , that is very rude." The waitress who was going to seat us looked shocked. The woman who had come out from behind the counter then said under breath," those spoiled honkeys can just sit where they are put." The woman mustn't have seen me because my father is a mix of African American , Latino/Spanish , and half American Indian. I don't look Caucasian. I'm shocked and humiliated, we won't be going to this restaurant again.I think racist feelings, on the part of the woman behind the counter, is the reason we were treated this way. No one of any race should over be deliberated humiliated and/or mistreated, simply because they belong to a certain ethnic group. I'm in tears , and I'm still in shock.
